With the bright colours and some French flair you can get the true Caribbean vibe for your home decor.

The hotel:
Don't think luxury can be found under a plantation roof? Think again—you just have to journey to the Caribbean island of St. Lucia to get the experience. Step into the halls of the Coco Palm Resort in Rodney Bay Village and you'll be whisked back into a time when French Creole plantations thrived. If you're looking for a true and authentic Caribbean experience, then this ideally located resort is just the place for you to soak it up. Minutes away from the pristine beaches, the vibrant Caribbean sea, and a short drive away from the bustle of the city of Castries, the Coco Palm Resort will give you a local experience, while offering you breathtaking views of the mountains in every direction.

The Coco Palm really does offer the best of two worlds—beautiful design that makes you feel you are in a posh resort and the comfort and friendliness of staying at home. What other hotel finds you in the lobby where there is no formal check in desk? Instead you're welcomed and taken straight to your room for a comfortable and easy check in.

The inspiration:
Nixing the idea of the modern and slick resorts that dot all of the Caribbean islands, the Coco Palm steps back in time with its Caribbean French Creole influence with the roof reflecting that of a plantation house. Keeping with the traditional style are gleaming white French doors, black and white tiles in the lobby and a large watering tesch which was used on the plantations—all to give the feel of days gone by with modern day amenities. Throw in some artful Feng Shui choices to make you feel at ease and the Coco Palm is a resort and home all in one.

The look:
Bringing the true colours of the Caribbean into the hotel scheme was key. Reds, blues, greens and yellows conjure up a picture that is truly Caribbean and rich mahogany furniture custom-made in Indonesia reflect a French influence. It all adds up to a true St. Lucia experience that you can recreate at home (we know that once you experience it, you will want to brighten up your home with it!).
