My heart literally skipped a beat when I first saw the Mulholland collection of outdoor furniture online at Restoration Hardware but you can’t blame me… Amidst a sea of wood and wicker, the glammy glam brass frame and graphic cocoa webbing stick out like a sore thumb and call my name. I mean how often do you see this gorgeous shade of brass in outdoor furniture?
As a throwback to mid-century Hollywood glam, they are a departure from the brand’s typical lived-in looking fare and are perfect for a gold-a-holic like myself looking for outdoor pieces that think outside the box. As a warm metal girl all the way, I love the liquid gold effect of brass, but those who aren’t too fond of the lustre but still want a warmer look than basic black will be happy to know that if left unpolished, the brass will patina into a dark matte bronze.
The webbing is woven from durable strands of sunbrella fabric and the architectural forms of the pieces, especially seen on the daybed, make quite the impact on the patio.
