stay organized for good: win a marie kondo book prize pack

New Year’s resolutions have become almost taboo to even utter. Why? Probably because most of them don’t last past the month of January. It doesn’t mean they’re not well-intentioned, they may just require a little help.

The one resolution that typically tops resolution lists (well, ours at least) is to be more organized. Whether that’s purging and decluttering or establishing a filing system. The hard part, though, is knowing where to start and how to stick to it all year long.

editor’s pick: 808 audio wireless speaker

Earlier this year I was on the hunt for the perfect speaker that would work for my small bachelorette apartment, but also be transportable on my travels all year round.

Most of the speakers I looked at before were fantastic products from reliable brands, but they were a bit out of my price range. There were also concerns that investing in an expensive speaker would make me hesitant about traveling with it on snowboarding trips or taking it to the park or the beach.

nutella shortage looming due to low hazelnut supply

Nutella lovers, grab your spoons and unite in panic!

Hazardous growing conditions in Turkey this year are threatening the supply of this chocolatey treat. Thanks to frost and hail storms in Turkey, who controls 70% of the global hazelnut supply, the price of Nutella is expected to rise in the face of a looming shortage.

Think we can at least take comfort in our own home grown crop? Sadly, even Canadians aren’t safe from hazelnut deficiencies. A fungus known as Eastern Filbert Blight (EFB) has spread through British Columbia‘s crop and taking out our local supply.

So, we at Style at Home feel that in the face of adversity should simply indulge. Starting with our favourite Nutella recipes (click on the image to get the recipe).
