Eco-friendly stuff from top designer Amy Butler is fabulous but all too often just isn’t available in Canada.

That’s why we were so excited to see these lush, colourful 100% organic cotton blend towels at Bed, Bath and Beyond! They’re supersumptuous, with a lovely velour band to up the richness factor and come in Orange, Turquoise, Lime, Plum (from top).

The bath towel measures 30″ X 54″, the hand towel 16″ x 28″ and the washcloth 13″ x 13″. Machine washable.

decotec colourful bathrooms

One of the most vivid booths at this year’s Interior Design Show belonged to Decotec, a Paris-based dealer of eye-poppingly brilliant bathroom fittings. With Decotec now available in Canada through a Quebec location, I just had to share my fave find from their colourful collection.

This piece, the Malles des Indes, is what Decotec is calling their “Bohemian bathroom”. So cute and compact – everything just folds into an attractive cabinet when not in use! The ultimate design solution for the teensy weensy bath? Euro-faboosh!

Green & Black’s organic chocolate goes Fair Trade and I, for one (crazy chocolate lover that I am), couldn’t be happier! The line will be converted starting this year, and Fair Trade labels will begin popping up early in 2011, with full conversion expected by the end of 2011.

It’s like someone was reading my mind! The last time I baked ooey-gooey chewy chocolate chip cookies (here’s the recipe from CanadianLiving.com), I emailed the recipe to my Blackberry and checking the ingredients and directions with my flour-covered fingers was not ideal. This digital recipe reader can hold your entire recipe collection in one easy place and the touch screen is easy to clean with a damp cloth. The font can be enlarged for easier reading and the built-in timers mean your cookies won’t burn when you turn your back. It quickly converts measurements and even offers up ingredient substitutions in a hurry. Does this thing wash the dishes, too? I love its sleek look and impressive number of features. img22m make your own popsiclesOkay, so I know it’s freezing outside and popsicles are probably the last thing on everyone’s mind, but hear me out! The Zoku Quick Pop popsicle maker is the neatest thing I’ve seen in a long time, so I need to spread the word, regardless of the weather.
