  1. Looking for info in the April 2008 issue. There is a bed covering (page 126) and curtains. It says to go to page 168 for the shopping info. I want to know the colour of bedding, colour of curtains and where to go to buy them. Your help would be nice.

  2. We attended the show on Saturday October 18, 2008 at 5:30 , We had finished reviewing all the displays etc by 5:47. That should give you a good idea of how bad the show was. The total number of people at the show could not have been more than 100. The show was to end at 7:00 but most vendors had abandoned their booths by the time we walked around. We tried to make the most of it by going to the on site cafe to have a coffee, after all we did pay $14.00 each plus $12.00 for parking. Not only were the people rude and ignored us while we stood there, but then when they decided to acknowledge us, they told us they were closed for the evening…this is at 5:55 . Please don’t promote your show as being an excellent show when it clearly is deficient in many areas. As we left we told others about to enter no to bother…they turned around and were happy they only lost what they paid for parking. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Wow Joseph, I’m astonished at your description of the show. I was there, and the show was great, really well attended and there were some fantastic exhibitors. Other than a few vendors that seemed out of place like the shammy people and the guy with the shovel/rake, I thought the show represented a lot of great stores and artisans. Maybe it wasn’t busy when you were there because it was the dinner hour, but when I was there Saturday it was packed! I had a great time and would totally go back again next year!

  4. I went on Friday and was very happy with the “comfortable” level of attendance. There was enough of a bustle to make it feel like a successful show, but not enough to make it annoying. What I found extremely frustrating was having to stand at all three presentations I attended at the Main Stage. More chairs were definitely needed!
I also asked the gentleman at the High/Low Stage for the name of the paint colour on the wall where their High/Low photo gallery hung. He said it was BeautiTone, but didn’t know the colour. I was told it would be on the show website, but it isn’t yet. Does anyone out there have this info?
I would also LOVE to get my hands on those orange ceramic garden stools from Home Sense (on the Main Stage). Help?!?

  5. Hi there Natasha,

Glad you liked the show! It was definitely a learning experience for us in many ways. Re the paint colour on the High/Low stage walls, it’s Beauti-Tone’s Cardigan ND037 from Home Hardware, homehardware.ca. Sorry the product info hasn’t been posted sooner; we wanted to make sure all of it was correct before putting it up. You’ll be able to find it shortly on the site. Natalie Bahadur, our web editor, will post a commentt here when she’s put it up.

    Cheers!
