Who doesn’t love chocolate? Between me and you, I could easily enjoy chocolate for breakfast every morning but … of course … I don’t.

Over the years, I’m sure we’ve all settled on our tried-and-true favourites. For me, it’s Turtles. Boxes of these sweet, creamy, caramel pecan delights tend to surface around Christmastime and in turn, my love of them has become inextricably linked with fond holiday memories. Imagine my delight when I discovered that my chocolate treat had undergone a makeover, making it an Easter treat, too!

Nestle has transformed some of their most popular chocolates into Easter eggs and having sampled them all, it’s safe to say they’re absolutely, totally, undeniably delicious. Available are: Turtles, Aero and Rolo. You must try them. You’ll be hooked, just like me.

OK, I swear. This is my last Easter egg post. Well, for today anyway. It’s just that Easter, like Christmas, really lends itself to such beautiful decorating ideas and especially with spring in full swing, there’s something so refreshing about surrounding yourself with the pretty pastels that are so popular both for Easter and for spring. Well, Chris Job at Curbly shows us how to dye Easter eggs the natural way. Forget chemical dyes that stain your hands and do all sorts of other untold damages. Chris suggests turmeric, red onion skins and blueberries, among other things, to create a rainbow of colours and provides tips for creating a variety of effects like marbling and mottling and such. Anyway, you just have to watch the video to find out how to make these lovely, lovely eggs. After just blogging about the mosaic eggs at Etsy, I couldn’t not share these ones with you, too. How adorable! I don’t know about you but the last thing I need to do this weekend is overindulge in Easter chocolates. Summer is on its way and I have just got to say no to those delicious Easter eggs that are everywhere. (Just because they’re mini, doesn’t mean you can eat 30 of them, I’ve learned.) So here’s a suggestion. Do hostesses like me a favour by forgoing the gift of chocolate this Easter and giving something that has a little more staying power.
