miele limited edition chocolate laundry setby Lauren |
I fancy myself quite the chocolate connoisseur. Yup, I love chocolate in all its forms: dark or creamy; in a cake or in a drink; with nuts or with caramel; hot, warm, or cold. Well, my obsession has taken on a completely different meaning now that I’ve seen Miele’s Limited Edition Chocolate Laundry set.
This washer-and-dryer set is available in a rich chocolately shade and comes with all the fixings you could ask for. Its Energy Star rating comes from the washer’s ability to determine exact load-sizes, thus adjusting the water accordingly, while the dryer uses moisture sensors rather than timers to stop the load when it’s dry. Want even more eco-options? High water temperature in the washer allow for powerful cleaning results, meaning you can cut back on your high chlorine bleach. Plus, every machine is tested to last for 10,000 cycles and includes a 10-year warranty.
Don’t think you can resist this chocolate-y goodness? Be quick – these sets are only available while quantities last!
Price: starting from $3,495 a pair

sweet…..i like it
Brought the set, expecting the Miele quality I had with my first Miele dishwasher. Washer leaks from the detergent tray which pops out during the later part of the cycle. Water leaked from the bottom of the door. Dryer does not dry load consistently - did a load consisting of dress shirts only. Some shirts came out sligthly damp, others very damp. Waiting to see what serviceman will do. The cuttery tray on my Optima 2430 seem to be smaller than the one on the 11 year old machine. Disappointed.
Laus,
I’m sorry to hear of your troubles! I’ve seen these in action and was wholly impressed. With the warranty, I’m sure you’ll be able to get the machine replaced.
As with Laus, I too found that the detergent tray popped out during the wash cycle, but only slightly. The dryer takes an average of 1 hour to dry a regular load of laundry and it only felt slightly warm inside the dryer after running for 15mins. I was told by the Miele service technician the dryer will cycle between heating and allowing the clothes to absorb the heat and then the heating cycle kicks in again. This is reapeated until the clothes are dry. The clothes do come out slightly damp when the ‘normal’ drying cycle is used and bone dry when ‘extra dry’ is used. Has everyone else’s experience with the dryer to be the same?
