Trees, wreaths, garlands, pine cones – including natural elements in your Christmas decor goes without saying. But what differentiates this particular scheme is its formal approach. This earth-toned outfit from Chloé (shown in the runway photo above) makes one think of strutting down the streets of New York City, and it inspired our sophisticated and refined aesthetic, one that’s natural but not “outdoorsy.”
Here, elements are incorporated in an orderly and symmetrical way. Instead of pine cones being scattered about willy-nilly, tiny spruce cones are turned into formal topiaries, for example. Paired with black and glamorous hits of shiny silvers, glowing golds and crisp, clean whites, this is a slightly rustic look that shines.
