how to: hang a wall vignette

I have a confession to make: I can be kind of lazy when it comes to decorating. Don't get me wrong, I'm really good at the shopping part. But once I get those goodies home, I'm indecisive. Does that mirror look better over the console or above the bed? Does the floor lamp look best in the living room or beside my desk? Oy vey. I bought a gorgeous selection of round, gold-framed mirrors from Manor last summer and admired them sitting around my old home and then my new condo. Last weekend I finally decided where I wanted them and took the plunge. Before hanging though, I took a few easy steps to make sure the vignette looked parfait on my wall. STEP 1 Place the mirrors (or frames) on thin craft paper and trace around the outside. Cut along the traced edge. STEP 2 Affix a small loop of painter's tape to the back of each piece of paper and stick on the wall in the arrangement you want. STEP 3 Mark on the pieces of paper where you want the nails to go then hammer them in. Once the nails are in, rip the paper off and hang up your mirrors/frames. And bing, bang, boom -- just like that, you have a perfectly hung wall vignette! What do you think, lovelies?   Read more from Lauren on her personal blog theweelass.com
