When I'm at the Style at Home and Canadian Gardening office, I'll often see beautiful flower arrangements being delivered to colleagues. But occasionally I'll arrive at my desk and find something absolutely beautiful (never sent by my husband by the way). Sometimes they are flowers left over from a shoot that have been rearranged by one of the members of my team, and sometimes they're a thank you gift from one of the amazing companies that we work with. Yesterday was one of those days. I came in and found these: They are from a company called My Luscious Backyard. A Toronto-based organic flower company, owner Sarah Nixon uses residential backyards (belonging to her friends) to grow lovely flowers. Over 60 varieties of flowers and foliage are grown, including many edible flowers. Needless to say, Sarah Nixon is my floral hero. And if I were to ever get married again, er, I mean have another wedding celebration with my husband, I know who I would be calling to do my flowers.
