Fans of the ABC television show Revenge have been patiently waiting for almost two months, but now that one of our favourite Sunday night rituals finally returns this week, we're counting down the minutes until 10pm.

If you've never watched the show, here's a brief synopsis: Emily Thorne (Canadian Emily VanCamp) is a woman scorned. Each week she seeks vengeance against the rich and powerful Grayson family and their cohorts, whom she holds responsible for the framing, jailing and eventual death of her father (fellow Canadian James Tupper). Over the course of two and a half seasons, Emily has secretly scratched red Xs through a now infamous group photo as she takes down her enemies one by one, while manipulating and marrying her way into the Grayson family's coveted inner circle. With the help of her closest confidant Nolan (Gabrielle Mann) and the two men who love her most -- Aidan (Barry Sloane) and Jack (Nick Wechsler) -- Emily makes Alexander Dumas' Count of Monte Cristo look like a rookie. While we tune in to see what kind of verbal, socialite sparring Emily and her mother-in-law Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) will get into next, dissecting the show's rich and stunning Hamptons style keeps our eyes practically glued to our television screens.

From Emily's quaint beachfront home to Grayson Manor's sprawling rooms and elegant decor (the home takes up an entire sound stage!), this show is as much a feast for the eyes as it is our guilty-pleasure loving souls. Here are some of our favourite drool-worthy rooms!

1 The great room
There's no better place to scheme and plot your way into the society pages than from an oversized armchair. Victoria's beautiful script version was scrapped after Lydia (Amber Valletta) doused it in red wine earlier this season, but this white and grey replacement is perfect opposite the plush couches and contrasting accent pillows. The black trim on the windowpanes matches another of the room's focal points-a classic grand piano-while fresh flowers punctuate the elegant look with a splash of colour. Finish off your great room (or if you don't own a mansion, your sitting room) with a sofa coffee table and a conversation-starting piece of art like this bust.

2 The foyer
A North Carolina home served as Grayson Manor for the show's pilot, but a team recreated the interior after it was picked up to series. Savvy viewers will notice the original hardwood floor was changed to a black-and-white checkered marble pattern in Season 2, probably to add even more dramatic effect when someone goes flying over the bannister. While the black and white colour scheme is also quite meta for the good versus evil infighting that goes on in the house, it gives the room an instant classic feel and trains the eyes to focus on the real beauty-the stunning split staircase.

3 Textured walls
Despite the vast, airy nature of the mansion, textured walls help punctuate the open space to give it a warm and cozy feel; even if the inhabitants aren't as inviting. Here, pillars help the corners of the room pop, and the black wall sconces pull them in towards the matching table lamps. Simple black frames and an urbane painting hung over the painted wood paneling completes this look, and reminds us of one of Victoria's redeeming qualities -- her love of art.

4 Upstairs, downstairs
With a family as conniving and devious as the Graysons, there should be as many nooks and crannies available for spying as possible. This home boasts museum-inspired sophistication, which pulls the upstairs hall and downstairs foyer together. The oversized vase sitting on the console table matches the row of varying blue pots above, while the rectangular picture frames draw the eye in a straight line. Topping it all off is the circular hallway table with fresh flowers and a feminine statue, illuminated by a simple crystal ceiling light cover.

5 Beachy bedroom
Emily may be one tough cookie, but when it comes to hiding her true identity, her beach house plays an important role. The pastel colours and romantic, beach-inspired furnishings like the soft lamps and plush throws are an integral part of the heroine's disguise. The simple bay windows and California shutters allow an ample amount of sunlight in, and the built-in bookshelf keeps the room feeling open, displaying pretty vases and eclectic books designed to catch enemies off guard.

6 Reading nook
No bedroom would be complete without a small reading nook (or in Emily's case, a place to plot out her revenge). Here, an oversized armchair with a contrasting pattern fits snugly into the corner alongside a bedroom nightstand table that's been painted to match the wall's trim, pulling the room together. Hung art featuring simple, natural elements adds to the beachy feel of the room, and the butterfly corner table is the perfect place to display a fresh vase of roses-just beware those hidden ‘Thornes!'
