cheap and cheerful artwork

I mentioned last week that I'm working on creating an art wall in my place. Artwork is such a great way to add a personal touch (and colour!) to any space on any budget – it can be as cheap or as expensive as you'd like (you can even do it yourself!). It takes me such a long time to decide what to hang, and then, where to hang it. Here, I'd like to share a few of my favourite pieces from around my house. This sweet print by Elizabeth Mayville is ready to hang on a wall in my bedroom. I adore Elizabeth's simple painterly style and already have one of her top knot prints (shown below). For my living room, these posters by Jesus Prudencio from Spain feature iconic cars from classic movies. My partner is a big movie guy, so he gave me the thumbs up for these ones, and their simple and cool graphic design is right up my alley – a match made in heaven! Aren't they awesome? These ones feature vehicles from Roman Holiday and Little Miss Sunshine, in case you don't recognize them. Finally, these quirky prints from Rifle Paper Co. hang in my bathroom. I love incorporating artwork in the bathroom, and the Bobby Pins and Hairbrush illustrations are so playful, don't you think? What are your favourite pieces to hang on your walls? Let me know – tweet me @amaetty
