I’ve been seeing this trend popping up everywhere I turn. It’s a fun and fresh way to add a splash of colour and contrast to your furniture and accessories.                           1 Retro Mix Set – Ladies & Gentlemen Studio, 2 White Dipped Square Baskets – Wisteria, 3 Wood Color Tumbler  ITUTU – Rakuten, 4 Philippe White End Table – Elte If you can’t find furnishings sporting the right colour dip to coordinate with your decor, in stores or online, don’t fret. This look is 100% DIY-able! Give new life to your existing glass, metal, ceramic or wood furnishings in a snap. Create the dipped look by taping off and protecting the area of the piece that you don’t want treated and spray paint the remainder in any colour you choose. Tip - Don’t forget to apply a coat of spray primer to ensure that the finish coat adheres properly. For a more authentic dipped look, tape a diagonal line around your piece to create the illusion that it was dipped into the paint on an angle. This is one of those trends that can be embraced on a small scale, through accessories. Plus, it’s a low commitment, high style way to add some drama to your space. Win-win! Is this a trend you’ll be trying? Lia Fagan is an interior designer & the creative mind behind Mod Pieces, an online boutique, specializing in restyled vintage lighting.
