diy: demi-lune table revamp

By: Catherine Therrien

Spring is in the air – well, not really if you live in Toronto! – and the thought of warmer weather is getting me excited for pickin' season. Last year, I found this mahogany-stained demi-lune table for a steal at a consignment shop. It was well built and I love its clean lines. Its petite footprint was also perfect my narrow entryway. Check out the before and after! demi-lune table before demi-lune table after 1. Whenever spray painting a piece of furniture, always start by giving it a light sand. 2. Apply a coat of primer. I prefer spray paint primer for this type of project to get a smooth, even finish. Let fully dry. 3. Spray the bottoms of the legs first in a brilliant gold; let fully dry. 4. Tape off each leg with painter's tape at the 6-inch mark and completely cover the bottoms of the legs in plastic bags. 5. Give the tabletop and uncovered legs about two coats of pink spray paint. Let fully dry. (I had a custom piece of glass made to fit my table's top.)
