editor's pick: inexpensive watercolours

I am a firm believer that artwork shouldn't have to come with a big price tag, and working for Style at Home has exposed me to all kinds of amazing artists who offer beautiful and unique pieces at price points that are totally affordable for the general public. Etsy, in particular, is a great resource. Sarah Swanson of Calgary, AB, offers simple but dynamic watercolours in her Etsy shop, Gallery Wall. First you select the shape you would like, then you select from one of 15 colour choices. Sarah will then make your custom piece, which you can frame yourself. Oh, and did I mention that the paintings are only $10 each? No, I didn't forget a 0. THEY'RE ONLY 10 BUCKS A POP! Choose a few, have them framed and hang them together for an unified art wall that costs under $50! I will definitely be purchasing a few pieces in the near future. And here's a fun challenge: Sarah's watercolours are hanging on the wall of an interior you'll soon be seeing on the pages of Style at Home. Keep an eye out and when you find them, tweet me @ErynJean!
