editor's pick: vintage-style light bulbs

I love vintage-look light bulbs. And I love pairing them with modern light fixtures even more. I've switched out most of my regular bulbs for filament-style ones in my exposed light fixtures. LEDs are just so unattractive although very energy efficient – I'll give them that. Over the weekend while waiting for my latte, I was flipping through the CB2 flyer and laid eyes on this stunning cut-glass Victorian-inspired version – I was blown away! It's not overly expensive at $9.95 per bulb and, wow, what a statement it would make! This trend shows no signs of stopping so I've rounded up a few of my favourite styles if you want your fixtures to shine in a new light: cut glass halogen light bulb Cut Glass Halogen 45W Bulb, CB2 clear globe bulb Clear Globe Bulb, West Elm tungsten filament bulb 60W Double-loop Tungsten Filament Bulb, Rejuvenation chrome tip globe bulb 60W Large Chrome-tip Globe Bulb, Rejuvenation tube filament bulb Tube Filament 40W Bulb, CB2 plumen 001 screw fitting bulb Plumen 001 Screw Fitting Bulb, Plumen Isn't this the coolest low-energy light bulb? It makes such a statement even on its own.
