A few days ago, I attended the preview for Andrew Richard Designs 2012 outdoor furnishing collection. The colours were vivid and bright, and the furniture cosy and inviting. I left the event wanting the warmer months to quickly settle in.
In the meantime, I thought I would share designer Andrew Bockner's tips to creating a relaxing outdoor retreat - as well as some of my favourite outdoor accessories for 2012.
1 Go bold: Get creative with your outdoor space - and leave neutral colours aside. Play with colour, patterns and textures to create a fun and cosy space.
2 Mix and match: Add pieces from different collections to add a little whimsy to your outdoor oasis.
3 Make it cosy: Make your outdoor space a place where you want to spend time - add comfy pillows, a fun outdoor rug and colourful accessories.
Once you've found the perfect furniture to fit your space, adding some versatile
will ensure you want to enjoy every minute of sunshine this summer. Here are six fabulous finds to get you started! [caption id="attachment_12220" align="aligncenter" width="460" caption="Outdoor Accessories"]
