Festive faux flowers

By: Jennifer Bartoli

As we all know, the holidays tend to be a very hectic time of year. Between shopping for gifts, entertaining and planning a menu, buying fresh flowers doesn't always make it to the top of our lists. For those times, faux flowers are the perfect solution. With a little styling and the right colours, they will add a festive touch to any room of your home.

Holly is the perfect choice of flower to display during the holiday season. This faux version makes an ideal centrepiece for a Christmas dinner. Scatter three or four of these small vases along a runner and keep the rest of your dinnerware neutral so the red colour really pops. FestiveFlowers-3.jpg
This small Christmas tree looks exactly like its real counterpart! To get this look, simply wrap the base of the tree with burlap and secure with a thick ribbon. Decorate the tree with small ornaments and ribbon in place of a garland. FauxFlowers-4.jpg
Although these white glittery flowers don't look like any bloom you would find in nature, they are wonderfully whimsical. In small round yellow vases they will look beautiful atop a mantel or coffee table during the holidays. FauxFlowers-5.jpg
Blue and gold is such a festive colour palette and a nice change from the traditional greens and reds of Christmastime. These golden leaves are stacked in transparent dark blue vases and perfect to decorate with during the holidays.
