- 2 cups butter
- 1 cup sifted icing sugar
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2-2/3 cups flour
- 3/4 cup crushed candy canes
1 Bake at 325 F.
2 Cream butter and icing sugar together until well blended. Add cornstarch and vanilla.
3 Gradually add flour until blended. Stir in crushed candy canes.
4 Drop by teaspoonfuls and decorate with a small piece of candy cane. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until light golden.
5 Leave on cookie sheet to cool then remove to wire racks. These also freeze very well.
Enjoy with a cup of hot chocolate!!
Tip: to crush, place candy canes in a plastic bag and place inside a tea towel then use a hammer to crush.
