Recipe: Camembert with herbs, garlic and chili oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 2 small red chilies, thinly sliced
- 4 whole thyme sprigs
- 4 whole oregano sprigs
- 1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 wheel Camembert
- Crisp crackers for serving
1 Place the garlic, chilies, thyme and oregano into a sterilized jar.
2 Slowly pour in the olive oil to fill.
3 Seal the jar tightly and store for 1 week in a cool dark place to allow the flavours to infuse. (The oil tastes best when it has had at least 1 week for the flavours to develop.)
4 Serve the oil drizzled over the Camembert cheese with crackers on the side.
