Cookie swap: Connie's chocolate chip hazelnut cookies

  • 3/4 cup butter softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 2/3 cup hazelnuts (filberts)
Preheat oven to 375F.

2 Mix butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla until blended. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix until creamy.

3 *take a little more than half of the nuts and crush them up into bits leaving the rest whole. This just helps get the hazelnut flavour through the cookie more.

4 Stir in chocolate chips and hazelnuts. Drop dough by the tablesspoonful onto cookie sheet and bake 10-12 mins until golden brown. (keep dough in fridge in between batches).
Makes about 4 dozen.
