Cookie swap: Kay's chocolate diamonds recipe

This square has the flavour of a chocolate chip cookie, with half the work.

Bottom ingredients
  • 6 tbsp softened butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
Top Ingredients
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Directions
1 Bottom: Cream butter and sugar, add flour, mix. Press into the bottom of 9 inch square pan, bake at 350 for 15 min.

2 Top: Beat eggs slightly, add vanilla and gradually add sugar and flour until blended, add remaining ingredients, blend, spread over baked layer. Bake at 350 for 20 min.

3 Cool and cut into squares.

My notes: Chocolate Diamonds freeze well.
