Interior: Glamorous modern nursery
Style at Home's contributing design blogger Christine Dovey envelops her modern nursery in swathes of white, layers of texture and doses of refined glamour without forgoing an ounce of comfort.
Once we knew our newest addition to the family was a boy, I madly started compiling inspiration. I went from wanting wallpaper plastered everywhere to a James Bond mural on one wall to an Old Hollywood theme to just about everything in between. But one day and many mood boards later, something unexpected happened: My mind started to dance toward thoughts of more simple designs. I found myself yearning for a room that was modern but still layered, delicate but with a restrained dose of drama. It wasn’t long after that that a very clear vision of the look I wanted was born. The nursery was to be sweet and sophisticated – perfectly fit for a baby but not age specific – and, most importantly, white, soft and pure.
