"We bought this duplex in Beaumont, Alberta when I graduated from university. To spruce it up for resale the previous owners had installed laminate flooring (right over the Berber) and had painted the existing cabinets white. The day after possession we began the first stage of our renovation -- demolition! We ripped up all the flooring, removed the cabinets, and bashed the wall out between the kitchen and dining room. …So much for the spruce up."
