easy art: framing wrapping paper

A few months ago, I realized that the wall above my bedroom dresser was in need of a makeover. But with no extra cash available for artwork, I knew I was going to have to get crafty. As a solution, I decided I would try framing a pretty piece of Rifle Paper Co. wrapping paper that I had saved for a rainy day.

I bought an inexpensive white frame from IKEA, measured and cut the wrapping paper to fit, and voila! I had a beautiful framed print that cost me under $35 in total. Paired with another framed print I already had, it totally changed the look of my bedroom dresser. Here's the finished product:   In fact, I'm loving the look so much that it has me scouring the internet for more great pieces to frame.  I'm liking this blue blossoming beauty from the Etsy shop Paper & Present: Dogwood Fine Paper from Paper & Present   And I can't get enough of the ombre trend, so this Rifle Paper Co. paper sold at Indigo has me swooning: [caption id="attachment_20234" align="aligncenter" width="460" caption="Ombre Wrapping from Indigo"] [/caption] I think framing wrapping paper is a great solution for an artwork conundrum.
