Nestled in the heart of uptown Dallas is Hotel Zaza, the ultimate hot spot for weekend travelers and nighttime socialites alike. With the intent to bring a luxurious concept hotel to Dallas, the design team behind Hotel Zaza were nothing short of successful in filling the void.

Composed of a selection of large guestrooms, Zaza also features 17 concept suites and their signature Magnificent Seven -- a collection of themed suites that specialize in luxury. Benji Homesy, President of Zaza, says the hotel maintains an occupancy rate of around 80%, and it's not hard to see why -- since it opened in 2002, Hotel Zaza has been the go-to spot for relaxation, night-life and celebrity encounters in Dallas.

What we love:
  • The Magnificent Seven suites, which include Crouching Tiger, Dangerous Beauty, The Last Czar, Leonardo, Raven, Red Shoes and Rock Star.
  • Zaza's 4-star restaurant, The Dragonfly, is a great option for dinner and late night drinks.
  • The furniture and accessories in the concept suites are a mix of store-bought items and pieces purchased from markets around the world.
  • Much of the art throughout the hotel is by Dallas' own Reg Land.
  • Magnificet Seven suites are located in a separate wing of the hotel that can only be accessed through an authorized card -- the ultimate in guest privacy.
  • ZaSpa, the hotel spa, offers everything from signature massages to anti-cellulite therapy.

zaza-lobby.jpg The Hotel Zaza lobby lets you know what the hotel is all about as soon as you walk through the front doors.

Why we love it:
  • Damask drapes hung from ceiling-to-floor add the drama that Zaza strives to exude.
  • An elaborate chandelier and ornate balcony provide gorgoeus glam that most places would reserve only for nighttime.
  • Candles throughout give the lobby a stylish gothic vibe.

zaza-escape1.jpgThe bedroom area of the Escape room is part of a 1,166 sq.ft. suite that is designed for relaxation.

Why we love it:

  • The suite has 2 full bathrooms with rain showers and Gilchrist & Soames bath goodies.
  • There is also a private jacuzzi room in the suite for guests to relax in after exploring downtown Dallas.
  • It features 2 flat screen TVs, including one wall-mounted in the sleeping area.
  • Sweet dreams come easy in two king-sized beds (complete with upholstered headboards with nailhead detailing).
zaza-zen.jpg The Zen concept suite is a relaxing space that looks like it came straight out of a Pottery Barn catalogue.

Why we love it:
  • The soothing natural colours in the 635 sq.ft. suite make relaxation and a calm state-of-mind easy to attain.
  • Large windows are perfect for waking up with the morning sun, and can easily be covered if you prefer to sleep in.
zaza-redshoes.jpg Red Shoes, part of the Magnificent Seven suites, is the perfect spot for a stylish female getaway.

Why we love it:
  • The room oozes glam, with red and black decor, and touches of animal print throughout.
  • The 1,340 sq.ft. space features fashion sketches as artwork.
  • Like all the Magnificent Seven suites, Red Shoes has a full-sized kitchen.

zaza-oasis.jpg Hotel Zaza's Urban Oasis is Dallas' hotspot for upscale nightlife and daytime lounging in the Texas sun.

Why we love it:
  • Urban Oasis offers the perfect way to unwind at the end of the day in Dallas -- atop plush couches with a large cocktail.
  • When the weather turns a bit chilly, the venue is covered with a clear tent-like structure to keep the outdoor vibe with an indoor warmth.
