Materials
  • Scissors
  • 5 two-yard lengths of wallpaper in different patterns
  • Double-sided tape
  • 18" wire wreath frame
  • Clear tape

Before you start: Choose five different patterns of wallpaper in a single colour but in shades that transition from light to dark (here, coral turns to burnt orange). diy-wreath-wallpaper-wire.jpg
Instructions
1 Using scissors, cut each patterned wallpaper into 32 5" x 5" squares.

2 Form each wallpaper square into a cone shape by rolling opposite corners toward each other. Secure at the back with double-sided tape.

3 Working on the first half of the wreath, start with your lightest colour of wallpaper. Attach 16 of the cones to the three inner wire sections of the frame (we did 4 on the first wire section, 5 on the second and 7 on the third, but you may need to slightly adjust these amounts as you build your wreath) by bending one cone tip around the wire frame and securing it to the back of the cone with clear tape. Repeat with the other patterned wallpapers, gradually moving to the darker shades, until that wreath half is fully covered.

4 Moving on to the second half of the wreath, attach the remaining cones in the same fashion but as a mirror image of the first half.
