DIFFICULTY LEVEL: beginner

You ’ll need:
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Two different widths of green ribbon
  • Glue stick
  • Patterned ribbon
  • Hot glue gun

1.
Draw a large square on the card. Cut four lengths of thin green ribbon to make a square as big as your outline. Cut four lengths of thick green ribbon to make a slightly smaller square.

2. Use a glue stick to glue thin ribbon along the outline, overlapping ends. Repeat with thick ribbon to make a square inset 2 to 3 mm within the first.

3. Cut a length of patterned ribbon and loop the two ends to meet in the centre. Glue in place and use a shorter ribbon piece to cinch the centre to make a bow. Cut another length of ribbon and fold in half into a V-shape.

4. Use a hot glue gun to glue the point of the V-shaped ribbon to the top of the wreath, lengths hanging down. Glue the bow at the point to finish your wreath.

1.
Use a coin to lightly trace six circles onto a piece of thin card stock and cut out. Cut out six squares, slightly larger than your circles, from patterned ribbon or fabric.

2. Cover one circle of card stock with one square of ribbon and wrap ribbon around circle by carefully folding over one corner of ribbon, holding it in place, then folding over another flap and another until you have gone the whole way around and the ribbon is tightly wrapped around the circle. Use a hot glue gun to secure ribbon in place and repeat with remaining circles and squares. Glue ornaments to the front of the card in a decorative fashion.

3. Cut out five tiny squares of tin foil to use as caps for each of the ornaments and glue into place. Use a pencil to draw the hooks directly on the card.
