Simple projects: Bird motifs

Ann Marie created this delicate hanging flock by crafting a series of origami birds from patterned scrapbooking paper (you can make them all one colour or have fun with different shades). After folding the forms of the birds, Ann Marie gave them a crisp, clean look by using a sewing machine to stitch along some of the creases to help them lie flat. Next, she continued the natural theme by using embroidery thread to attach the birds to a branch she had spray-painted white. Fishing wire suspends the mobile from the ceiling.
