1 A beautiful bookcase
Edit your book collection and neatly arrange it varying the placement of your books to be both vertical and horizontal. Also, add small vases, seashells, sculptures and artwork to break up the rows of books but don't overdo it.

2 A fresh kitchen, fast
A clean kitchen is wonderful, but if you want to make a good impression the style needs to be fresh, too. Paint, new hardware and accessories will help revitalize the space, quickly and within budget.

3 Prime entertaining space
In the dining room finding a table that fits and pairing it with stylish yet comfortable chairs is a must. Add instant glamour with a chandelier, candles and fresh flowers. In this dining room, the sparkling, crystal-clear windows make a fantastic impression along wth the carefully set table and sideboard.

4 Bathroom basics
Making the bathroom shine is as easy as remembering to put the toilet seat down, polishing the surfaces, re-doing the grout and investing in a scented candle or two.

5 A lovely living room
Small arrangements, including the placement of rugs, can help you carve out space for activities in your home. If you have a fireplace use it to create both light and warmth in the living room, even if it is nonworking.

6 Decorative details
Whether decorating for company or potential buyers, remember that details count. Here, a trio of open shelves display a distinctive collection of decorative plates and classic French soup tureens. speed-outdoor-space.jpg
7 Making the most of your outdoor areas
A porch is often a missed opportunity. Outfit it with a few key furnishings and decorative accents (like plants and pillows) and it will become a comfortable, practical room in its own right. For a superfast outdoor dining setup, place a table and chairs on the patio. Add some accessories, like big flowering branches in an oversized vase, and you're party-ready.

8 A peaceful escape
If you have the space, it's nice to carve out a spot for reading, meditating, or just daydreaming. This window nook, outfitted with a Flokati rug and big throw pillows, is a relaxing retreat.

9 Outdoor dining
Candles complete the dining table. Here, a selection of white pillars in glass hurricanes rings a gazebo, providing an enchanted glow.
