1 Modern classic kitchen

Why we love it Nothing looks more classic than nailhead detailing and crown moulding around kitchen cabinetry. This stunning cream-toned kitchen has it all, from Carrara marble countertops to Hicks pendant lights. But it's not all about what you can see -- the range hood is hidden by a custom panel and there's plenty of cabinetry to store cookware.

2 Glam kitchenette
Why we love it
Pretty things come in small packages, and it's no more evident than in this bachelorette pad kitchen. Although only 9'x4', the kitchen packs a lot of punch with a fab look -- a bold wallpaper and dark beadboard cabinets give off a hit of glam. Tip: Install hardwood flooring on the diagonal for the illusion of more space.

3 Gorgeous galley kitchen
Why we love it
A 10' addition was built on the end of this addition in our editor Erin McLaughlin's Toronto row house. Light streams through the French doors to give this modern country space a clean and relaxed feel. The lounge space at the back is perfect for guests to sit and chat while their host tends to the food. Plus, an Aga stove to the right is what every foodie dreams of -- what's not to love about that?

4 Masculine loft kitchen
Why we love it
This kitchen oozes warmth with all the wood tones and natural hues throughout. With an industrial exposed brick wall and a lack of feminine colours, this kitchen is all masculine, but still entirely stylish. And with the wood blending into the brick wall, the space looks more like a bar area, perfect for the homeowers that love to entertain guests.

5 Pure white kitchen
Why we love it What's not to love about an all-white kitchen? Clean, crisp and classic, this is the type of kitchen that will never go out of style. Natural light reflects off of the cabinets and Carrara marble surfaces, and when colours are introduced, they pop against the pale tones of the space.
