Spring is in the air at the Hudson's Bay Company with the arrival of bluebellgray, a Scottish textile company run by the fabulous Fiona Douglas. Based off of her own colourful watercolours, these designs have been digitally printed onto natural materials which are then made into bed linens, pillows and furniture. Amanda Etty and I had the pleasure of meeting Fiona a couple weeks ago and seeing the whole line in person. Read on to learn more about the company and to see a few snap shots from our visit! Vibrant, modern and abstract patterns are signature to the line. All designs are digitally printed in the UK but sewn locally in Canada. The two large furniture items, a tufted headboard and occasional chair (seen below) are both manufactured in Canada. Two of Fiona's prints are exclusive to Canada - the "Arisaig" (which was named after a local village in Scotland) and "Flower Field Meadow". Starting price point is $85. A few of Fiona's hand painted watercolour paintings that were used as inspiration! SO stunning. The first of two furniture pieces. The Tufted headboard is a vibrant turquoise with hot pink tufted buttons!
