decorating with candles

One of my favorite shops to visit is Anthropologie. I doubt anyone knew when the store opened in Pennsylvania in 1992 that it would become such an icon of decor and style. Canadians were thrilled when Anthropologie opened in 2009. There are stores now open in Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. Anthroplogie's look, which is artisanal chic, is recognizable worldwide. But shopping for clothes and decor are not the only reason why I love Anthropologie. The store merchandiser's are brilliant when it comes to in-store display. Case in point: this beautiful scented candle placed in a simple glass vase and lit. It is made even more magical because it is resting on layered pebbles. 20140310-114912.jpg The Spring's Eden Candle Tin, which is itself already beautiful packaged in a colourful patterned tin, comes in four scents. Coconut milk mango, wild honeysuckle, kiwi lotus and my favorite, sage blossom which is a combo of lavender, ginger and citrus. 20140310-115508.jpg Of course, I also love the Coconut Milk Mango candle because I love the lavender-coloured tin! Priced at around $20 (which is considerably less than a lot of scented candles in decorative tins) the Spring's Eden Candle is a terrific find.
