When I was growing up, there were slim pickings for Christmas stockings in the stores. My childhood stocking was made out of red polyester velveteen and cuffed with white faux fur. Needless to say, my mother never hung them above the fireplace until Christmas Eve. They were "statement pieces" but not in a good way! Now, as I'm decorating my home for the holidays I can turn to Etsy to find some fabulous stockings. All you need to do to find the perfect one for you is to type in "stocking" in the search box.
