Where to shop

Owner and designer Jill Goldberg has a knack for mixing modern furniture and decor accessories from brands like Oly and Dunes and Duchess with vintage artifacts found at the Brimfield Antique and Collectibles Show, making this shop a design lover’s paradise. 12 Union Park St.,

This housewares boutique is owned by Amsterdam native Natalie van Dijk Carpenter, which might explain the shop’s huge selection of European-designed inventory. My favourite find? Shapely ceramic salt and pepper bowls from Pigeon Toe ($54 US ). 1317 Washington St.,

Patch NYC

Set in a large Parisian-style courtyard, Patch NYC offers the best in boho-chic treasures, including Astier de Villatte tableware from Paris, Pendleton blankets and Waylande Gregory ceramics. The owners, John Ross and Don Carney, are accomplished international artists whose creative spirit is evident throughout the shop. The Courtyard at 46 Waltham St.,
