Ah, what a fine Saturday morning it is. So bright and full of opportunity. What to do with this beautiful day, you ask? Head down to the One of a Kind Spring Show, of course! On until tomorrow, the exhibit boasts unique handmade wares from 450 Canadian artisans. Here are a few of my favourite things, starting with Senay Studio! Tea towels, prints, toss cushions and phone cases all boast beautiful watercoloured motifs by Senay Guler Gunbaz. A pretty addition to any home. Valerie Marchand from Acorn Studio wows this year with a new set of terrariums, because succulents are only getting more popular (stunningly sculptural and super low-maintenance: a winning combination) and require an equally beautiful place to live. A simple, absent-minded doodle is the catalyst behind Mena Dragonfly's latest pottery designs. What a happy accident! Sweet, simple and perfectly rustic, the illustrated textiles from Montreal's Prune are definitely on my want list. Representing for the Etsy zone (an absolute must visit!), The Sweet Escape offers beautiful vintage plates decorated with cheeky gold-leafed phrases. "Treat yo self?" Don't mind if I do!
