12 days of ornaments: day 9 diy pick

For the last four days of my 12 days of ornaments series, I've decided to do all DIY picks to change things up. My requirements were that they had to be simple, easy and fun. So, with that in mind, I decorated this soft pink glass ornament with a velvet bow for day 9. I love how it's at once pretty and elegant. diy bow ornament All you need to do is glue gun a length of ribbon horizontally to the centre of the ornament (just a few dabs – don't go overboard!). Create the bow by taking a small piece of ribbon, folding the ends toward the back of the ribbon so they meet in the middle and gluing them in place. Add another piece of ribbon to the centre of the bow, securing the ends to the back with hot glue. Then adhere the bow to the ribbon on the ornament at the seam (the bow will hide it) with hot glue. How easy is that?!
