The other day, amidst the unrelenting snow, ice and winds pounding the streets of Toronto, I found a temporary sanctuary of warmth and inspiration -- the Indigo Spring and Summer 2014 preview. I didn't realize that when I entered this downtown mid-rise I would be taking an unexpected journey to the South of France. I couldn't believe how quickly I forgot the cold outside and began to imagine myself on the coast of St. Tropez -- ahh, the benefits of travel inspiration. It wasn't all that difficult either thanks to the pretty pastels, lavenders, bold blues and pristine whites that run throughout the Spring and Summer home collections this year. The preview introduced Le Club 55, where the table setting and decor celebrated bringing together real food and decor for real entertaining. Braided placemats and chambre stripe napkins keep the table casual and chic, perfect for a backyard garden party. Even the neutral Scandinavian palette is refreshed with a bold blue and white colour combo. And the draped awning is a beautiful and casual alternative to an outdoor tent in the summer sun's natural heat. Like what you see? Be sure to keep your eye out in March and April as stores launch their Spring/Summer line. Do you like the South of France look for your decor?
