At this year's Interior Design Show, charity is taking centre stage at the GE Monogram booth. On January 27th, a silent auction is being held in support of Casey House (a specialty hospital for those living with HIV/AIDS) -- 20 designers have put their own spin on the iconic Vitra Panton chair and each unique design will be offered up for sale. Here are a few of the cool designs up for bids: [caption id="attachment_6199" align="aligncenter" width="459" caption="3rd UNCLE design"] [/caption] [caption id="attachment_6200" align="aligncenter" width="460" caption="Jane Lockhart"] [/caption] [caption id="attachment_6201" align="aligncenter" width="460" caption="Youssef Hasbani"] [/caption] [caption id="attachment_6202" align="aligncenter" width="460" caption="Karim Rashid"] [/caption] Apart from the chair auction, GE Monogram is promoting their Dinner by Design series, in which designers and decorators host invitation-only, in-house dinners. GE is now giving IDS visitors a chance to be a part of this fabulous dining experience (with a 10-guest gourmet dinner cooked by Langdon Hall's Jonathan Gushue) -- just stop by the GE Monogram booth and donate $50 to Casey House, and you will receive a ballot for the draw.
