The One Of A Kind Christmas Show & Sale is just around the corner. It’s happening, here in Toronto, from November 24 to December 4 at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place. A family friend and the artist behind Beluxe, Bev Hogue, will be exhibiting again this year. Her booth has consistently been a favourite amongst attendees since she began exhibiting with OOAK, back in 2004. Be sure to visit booth S-51 to see for yourself. While always painted in blue, Bev’s portraits of interesting women have “more to do with conviction than colour”. Still, the number one question Bev is asked is “why blue?” Her response is always the same, "It's blue or nothing." That's the motivation for her entire Beluxe brand of art. "It's a modern interpretation of luxury that's more than more or less. It's about embracing the odd beauty of the world, rather than trying to escape. It's living with a broken heart, not a broken spirit." Beluxe will be presenting a number of new pieces as well as introducing a series of limited edition prints. If you’re not able to make it to the show, be sure to visit Beluxe online or visit her fabulous studio/gallery, located in Fonthill, Ontario, by appointment only. Lia Fagan is an interior designer & the creative mind behind Mod Pieces, an online boutique, specializing in restyled vintage lighting. When she’s not in her studio, she’s offering up tips for how to “design outside the lines” on her blog, Mod Nest.
