Soft Side 

At the opposite end of the colour spectrum is a light and airy setting. Panel a light-coloured wall to create shadows and pattern, which add interest without disturbing the calm, elegant effect of white walls. Next, layer in cushions in different tones and shades of the sofa colour to keep the mood beautifully subdued, but not boring. A round coffee table topped with accents in organic shapes reinforces the softness of the space.

Down to earth

A colourful area rug is the foundation for the dessert vibe in this room. Muted tones of terracotta, mustard, soft blue and cream were all pulled from the rug’s linear pattern.
