Easter cookie decorating kit
"Create a wonderful Easter cookie decorating kit by putting together some sugar cookies (homemade or purchased), a can of fluffy white frosting and assorted Easter candies and sprinkles in a clear plastic organizing box. Cover the frosting can with some festive paper and place together in a basket for an amazing gift for little ones, friends or neighbours." - Angie Pitre

Easter brunch table setting
"Easter is one of my favourite times of the year. Spring has just begun and the flowers have almost sprung! My family is a big fan of Easter brunch so below are some ideas on how to make your Easter table vibrant!
The key ingredient to making an inviting table is colour so use it wherever you can. I always adore the mixture of vintage and new china and glassware. Our table is mixed with items my mom and I have found at antique markets and items that were passed down from generation to generation. It is always fun to reflect on these fond memories!
Use different textures, shapes and colour with food and beverages and be sure to scatter them around the table. Don't worry about keeping food with food and drinks with drinks - it's more interesting when there isn't a pattern!
Since it's Easter, fill the table with eggs! Place a bundle of them on a decorative paper napkin (I purchased all of mine from the Jacaranda Tree on Mount Pleasant in Toronto) in a chunky glass bowl. At each place setting is a vintage liquor glass and a few stacked plates adding a nice height to each place." - Sara Russell

Sophisticated faux eggs
" Decorating for Easter doesn’t have to be all about the kids. Years ago I bought these faux eggs in muted blue and green, and added them to a decorative aged brass box for a sophisticated nod to Easter. I think it’s a great way to break away from the cute and playful while still being festive and fun." - Wendy Hicken

A seasonal mantel
"I always love changing my mantel with the seasons and holidays. I thought I would try my hand at painting a piece in a colourful s pring colour palette. It's very simple to do - you just need paper made specifically for acrylic or whatever medium you are using. Start with paints in the primary colours (red, blue, yellow) and white. You can mix colours to create pretty shades of pink, coral and mint. With a few brushes of various widths, you can paint shapes in no random pattern - be creative!
I then added my favourite flowers in an oversized pitcher, a print on canvas and some accessories to complete the look. It's happy and says, 'Bring on the Spring!'. - Vanessa Francis

Chic Czech Easter eggs
"I am not one for over-the-top decorating for Easter at our home. I love subtle and simple touches like taking my Czech Easter eggs and placing them in dishes around the house. I love the pops of colour and pattern they bring to the house. They also remind me of my childhood when my mom would bring out her collection of hand painted and dyed eggs around Easter time." - Barbara Matson

Pretty petits fours
"Pretty-looking treats don’t always require complicated steps to complete. To create these Easter petits fours for your Easter table, purchase pound cake and cut into 1-inch cubes, dip into thin icing, then add a decoration or sprinkles to the top, and let dry on waxed paper. To serve, place petits fours in small cupcake liner papers and enjoy!" - Angie Pitre
