One of my most important New Year's resolutions this year was to make sure that my family of four ate dinner together at least three times a week. We are a family of two teenagers (one is a pescatarian and one likes simple and uncomplicated dishes) and a husband who wants meat at every meal. And then there's me, who wants a healthy dinner. My biggest challenge was to make sure that I could make a dinner that everyone loved - and not making sure that everyone ate together. When my sister and her family came from Montreal over the holidays, she despaired at my messy kitchen and how all of our detritus piled up on the kitchen table. I promised her that I would resolve to keep the table clear (I now have overflowing kitchen cabinets as a result) and that my family would spend time together. Last night was our first meal together. What do you think of my dining table?
