9 plants toxic to children and pets

While it's fun to introduce new plants into your home, it's essential to know that some of them can be toxic to young children and pets.

Whether the plant is chewed or swallowed, adverse effects can occur.

It's rare that a child or animal actually gets sick or dies from such poisoning. But since it's impossible to have eyes all the way round your head to keep a constant eye on your animals, prevention is better than cure.

Here are 9 plants that are toxic to children and pets and should be avoided at all costs.
