2013 cookie swap: Caroline's butter nut cookies
- 1 ½ cup butter
- 1 cup icing sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 package butterscotch Chip-its
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
- 4 cups icing sugar
- ½ cup white rum
1 Cream together butter with sugar and salt.
2 Blend in flour unit smooth.
3 Stir in Chip-its and pecans.
4 Shape dough into balls and place on greased a cookie sheet.
5 Bake in oven at 325 degrees for 15 minutes until firm, but not brown.
6 Remove from cookie sheet to a wire rack set over a cookie sheet or wax paper.
7 Prepare icing – and drizzle over cookies.
8 Let sit until icing is firm.
