2013 cookie swap: Monika's vanilla horn cookies
- 180 grams flour
- 78 grams fine sugar
- 200 grams ground almonds
- 200 grams butter softened at room temperature
- 1 whole egg plus 1 egg yolk
- 2 pkg. vanilla sugar
- 2 cups powdered sugar
1 Measure out all the ingredients.
2 In a bowl, cream butter and sugar together. Add ground almonds and flour.
3 Form to a soft dough and chill before using.
4 Using chilled dough, roll out tablespoon portions into a crescent moon shape and place on parchment lined cookie sheet.
5 Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes or until lightly tan.
6 Remove from cookie sheet while still warm and roll in powdered sugar and vanilla sugar mix.
7 Store cookies in a cool place.
