- 1/2 cup oil
- 4 squares unsweetened chocolate (4 oz.)
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- icing sugar (plain or coloured with food colouring)
1 Melt chocolate; mix with oil and sugar. Blend in one egg at a time until well mixed. Add vanilla. Stir flour, baking powder and salt together and add to chocolate mixture. Chill several hours or overnight.
2 Drop teaspoonfuls of dough into powdered sugar. Roll in sugar and shape into ball. Place 2" apart on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees 12 - 13 minutes till almost no imprint remains when touched lightly in centre.
Makes 6 - 7 dozen.
