5 Pinterest-Worthy Ways To Wrap Presents
A little effort gives presence to presents and adds to the decorative beauty of the holidays.
Simple & Sweet

Making the holidays special and your life simple is possible during this busiest of seasons. Wrap gifts in plain and coloured recycled (and recyclable) paper. Then cut out triangular Christmas tree shapes from boldly patterned graphic paper or solid red or green paper. Tape trees on packages and top with wooden stars, then wind thin string around for texture and contrast.
Colour Cues

Taking a cue from your holiday decor palette, choose a variety of wrapping paper linked by colour and theme. Here, spruce green, which has a blue undertone, is the main hue, but we brought in more yellowy greens, too, for visual interest. We even added in a forest-pattern paper that loosely builds on the green theme, and topped gifts with sprigs of cedar, eucalyptus and other greenery. Touches of gold make it all sparkle.

Brown-paper packages are some of our favourite things! Kraft paper – either plain or in fun black-and-natural graphic patterns – is easy and economical. A few bows, ribbons and other fun decorations (be creative in your choices of motifs) bring the finishing touches these presents need.
Get Cracking

Who doesn’t love to open Christmas crackers? While many of us decorate our holiday tables with a cracker at each place setting, there’s no reason these pretty packets can’t show up in surprising spots – little ones will be delighted to find them in their shoes or slippers on Christmas Eve night. There are several tutorials online for making your own, so you can craft crackers in colours and patterns to suit your holiday palette, and personalize the prize for each guest!
Pattern Perfection

Colour and pattern are what the holidays are all about, and going for a more is more look is more than acceptable! We love the idea of wrapping a gift in a stunning scarf for a two-gifts-in-one effect. Or combine multiple ribbons in a variety of patterns on top of a solid-coloured paper for a punch of pattern. With this look, the rule is there are no rules! Go with what you love.
