Before & After: An Early 2000s Bathroom Gets A Spa-Like Update
As with many bathrooms from the early 2000s, this one featured a dated podium bathtub, mahogany vanity, and busy patterned tiles.
The update had to include a bright and spacious spa-like feel enhanced with elegant touches, where every detail combines comfort and a calming aesthetic.

Favourite Features
- The backlit LED mirror with adjustable lighting transforms the daily skincare routine thanks to its soft, even glow.
- Large-format tiles on the floor and walls in light, neutral shades make the room feel larger and evoke a serene spa-like atmosphere.
- A barely-visible glass shower partition creates the illusion of even more space while enhancing the room’s natural light.

To bring movement and texture to a wall, add MDF mouldings painted in the same colour as the wall. Placed at equal distances, they create subtle depth and dimension.
