Directions
1
Using scissors or a fabric circle cutter on a cutting mat, cut out eight 2” circles of felt. Fold each circle in half, pressing firmly to make a crease down the centre.

2 Place one circle on top of another with the creases lining up; stitch together along the crease. Repeat with two more pairs of circles to make 3 stitched-together circles altogether (you’ll have two single circles remaining).

3 Place one of the sewn circles on a surface. Grasp the opposite edges of the top circle and bring them together to form a half moon shape; firmly press to crease. Repeat with the bottom circle so that you will have two half moons sewn together down the centre. Repeat with the other two sewn circles.

4 Place the three folded circles on top of each other in a stack, lining up the seams. Place one of the remaining single felt circles underneath the stack, and the other on top, lining up their creases with the seams of the sewn circles; pin in place.

5 Sew along the centre crease of the outer circles; gently fluff up the sections. Thread a small loop through the top of the ornament and hang on the tree.

Makes: 1 2" ornament
